Connection

I long for when you hold me close,
These are the moments I love the most.
You pull my hair back and kiss my cheek,
Avoiding the tears that begin to leak.
You hold me closer and I shut my eyes,
Because in my stomach I feel buterflies.
When you kiss my lips I feel connected,
Hold me tighter I want to feel protected.
I open my eyes and look into yours,
Then I think to myself, "Could I be who he adores?".

Who am I?

I know what you see when you turn to me.
But the truth is your blind, it's not me who you see.
Through your eyes,
you see my disguise.
My true appearance?
It's hidden by lies.
You tell me you see someone so amazing.
In the mirror I see a heart that's blazing.
You see a few scars,
from a colission of cars.
I see the scars that caused the real me to die.
The ones created by that one special guy.
Take a look at me again, tell me what you see.
Is it me?
Or who you wish I could be...

Can't you see?

Novoaine may numb my lip,
but it's this pain in my heart that''s making me trip.
How could it be I lost you so soon?
As if I had you in the morning, and lost you by noon.
Our time apart is killing me,
I feel alone, why can't you see?
Maybe one day you'll realize,
I can be more than just "her" through your eyes.
I know I was once the one for you,
Don't you see our love was true?
I don't want to see you with someone new,
my heart can't beat with us as two.
I wants us to again be one,
Please, oh please, don't say we're done...
